TRENCADÍS

Trencadís takes its name from the Catalan art of assembling broken tiles into intricate mosaics, piece by piece, finding beauty in fragments. Inspired by the Barcelona that first drew Aisha Rao to design, the collection looks to Gaudí’s freedom of form, Gothic architecture and avant-garde expression. Signature appliqué lehengas unfold through vivid colour, rich texture and organic forms, alongside sarees and dresses shaped by complex geometry. Georgette Dobby is woven with gold and silver filaments for a brocade-like tactility, while revived prints are enriched with intricate badla work. Spanish red and lapis lazuli blue meet botanical motifs, landscapes and sculptural forms, with sequined surfaces carrying the collection effortlessly from day to evening.
